But God knew best. Several months later both my parents died unexpectedly one month apart. That left a huge and painful void in our family. I was so thankful my daughter was pregnant because my family desperately needed a new life after our double losses. I told my daughter "This is the best possible time for your to be pregnant".
She developed serious complications in her pregnancy and I was terrified something would happen to the baby. But God worked a miracle and the baby was induced ten days early and she was perfectly normal and healthy. And everytime I hug that little head or kiss that little face, I feel like I'm hugging and kissing my mom.

Wow Peggy you are so blessed! Three yrs. ago my daughter got pregnant with her third, and we had the same worries about she & her husband. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and we all realized, had it not been for that little grandbaby, our daughter would not have gotten her exam & the cancer would never had been diagnosed in time. Our granddaughter Ashley literally saved her mama's life..God has perfect timing!

Great reminder to me to believe God in the lives of these adult children. Peggy, do you ever worry about their choices, want to 'tell' them what to do/not do?
ReplyDeleteIt is SUCH a temptation for me to do the 'what if' over and over in my mind as I watch them live their lives.
"Once a mother, always a mother", but I want to be one that trusts God for these families.
I know exactly how you feel! I hadn't a clue how much I'd love our grandchildren, or what balm they could be to the soul. Something tells me your daughter and that little one love you every bit as much!
